[BIP-110 Sparks Controversy in Bitcoin Community, Wang Chun, Jameson Lopp, and Other OGs Express Clear Opposition] Odaily Planet Daily News: The BIP-110 proposal has recently triggered significant controversy within the Bitcoin community. Several Bitcoin OGs, including Wang Chun, co-founder of F2Pool, Jameson Lopp, co-founder of Casa, and Adam Back, CEO of Blockstream, have openly voiced their opposition. Wang Chun stated that the BIP-110 proposal is akin to 'packaging a bunch of nonsense under the guise of protecting children and then imposing it on us as a whole.' Jameson Lopp also published a lengthy article describing BIP-110 as reckless, irrational, and doomed to fail. Adam Back believes that BIP-110 could threaten Bitcoin's immutability and its value as a store of wealth. Odaily Note: BIP-110 is the latest improvement proposal introduced to the Bitcoin community, aiming to limit the scale of non-monetary data (such as Ordinals inscriptions) in transactions through a soft fork, in order to alleviate the issue of 'junk data' occupying block space.
