[OpenClaw Boosts Sales of High-Spec Macs, Apple High-Memory Models Delivery Time Extended to Up to 6 Weeks] According to Tom’s Hardware, the open-source local AI agent OpenClaw has gained popularity, driving users to purchase high Unified Memory versions of Macs in large quantities, resulting in supply shortages for certain models. The report noted that base-configured MacBook Air, iMac, and M4 Mac mini models are still available for same-day delivery, but once memory is upgraded, delivery times are generally extended to around 2–3 weeks. Orders for the high-end M3 Ultra Mac Studio equipped with 512GB Unified Memory are expected to require a wait of 5–6 weeks. Apple CEO Tim Cook previously stated that the company is working to catch up on memory supply to meet demand, while the current global memory chip supply is already under pressure from AI data centers and institutional buyers.
