[LayerZero CEO: Zero Will Not Issue New Tokens, ZRO to Capture All Ecosystem Value] LayerZero Labs co-founder and CEO Bryan Pellegrino stated that the newly launched Zero will not issue new tokens. ZRO will serve as the sole asset within the ecosystem, used for staking and gas payments in Zero. Additionally, priority fees (state contention), tips/MEV, marketplace transaction fees, payment zone fees, and all messaging fees after LayerZero enables the fee switch will flow to ZRO. He also mentioned that institutional purchases, early investor buybacks, and project team buybacks collectively account for approximately 19.77% of the total supply, with most of it used for buybacks of soon-to-be-unlocked and early investor shares. The current public data on unlocking pressure has been overestimated.
