BGD stated that it will continue to fulfill its responsibilities to date, including Aave v3, Umbrella, on-chain expansion, asset listings, and security maintenance, and plans to release documentation and maintenance guidelines to facilitate the handover to other teams. BGD pointed out that Aave Labs is taking a more central role in the development of Aave v4 and the restructuring of the protocol, holding control over branding, communication channels, and voting influence, which has led to deviations from decentralized governance and issues of "asymmetric organizational structure."
