Strengthening Jamaica’s digital infrastructure is critical for business, innovation, and creating new opportunities for our people.
This afternoon, I engaged with Liberty Networks to discuss expanding subsea cables and improving connectivity across the island.
I also thanked all our telecommunications providers for their leadership and dedication during Hurricane Melissa, ensuring Jamaicans stayed connected when it mattered most.
Liberty Networks is a leading provider in Latin America and the Caribbean, operating the region’s largest subsea fibre optic network, over 50,000 km, and offering secure, high-capacity connectivity, data centers, and IT solutions to carriers, businesses, and governments in more than 33 countries.
Jamaica is serious about strengthening our digital footprint, and we will continue to invest in connectivity and technology to secure a stronger, more connected future for our people.(Andrew Holness)
