Strengthening Jamaica’s digital infrastructure is critical for business, innovation, and creating new opportunities for our people. This afternoon, I engaged with Liberty Networks to discuss expanding subsea cables and improving connectivity across the island. I also thanked all our telecommunications providers for their leadership and dedication during Hurricane Melissa, ensuring Jamaicans stayed connected when it mattered most. Liberty Networks is a leading provider in Latin America and the Caribbean, operating the region’s largest subsea fibre optic network, over 50,000 km, and offering secure, high-capacity connectivity, data centers, and IT solutions to carriers, businesses, and governments in more than 33 countries.
