Ethereum Platform Team Officially Established to Strengthen Collaboration Between L1 and L2

Foresight News reports that the Ethereum Foundation (EF) has announced the establishment of the Ethereum Platform team, aimed at enabling L1 and L2 to better support users, applications, and all organizations built on Ethereum. Since the rollup-centric development roadmap was first proposed five years ago, the ecosystem around Ethereum L1 has grown increasingly rich, resulting in multiple differentiated L2 chains with unique economic models. The new team will focus on providing a unified platform to fully leverage the unique capabilities of the Ethereum system (L1 + L2), including enhancing the value proposition of L2, promoting widespread adoption of L2, and fostering value synergy with Ethereum. The Platform team will evaluate the successes and shortcomings of Ethereum as a holistic system, proactively assess necessary improvements, and address challenges in building a robust system. The team's priorities include protocol development, technical integration with developers and institutions, and overall strategic tracking to ensure a strong feedback mechanism between L1 and L2.
