We recognise Members of County Assemblies (MCAs) as indispensable partners in our national development agenda and a vital link between the aspirations of our people and the policies we craft at the national level. During the annual County Assemblies Forum, I shared our bold and transformative vision for our great Republic, a vision anchored on unity of purpose, fiscally responsibility, and acelerated socio-economic progress. Rallied MCAs to stand firmly behind the proposed National Infrastructure Fund, a strategic vehicle that will enable us to mobilise sustainable financing for transformative projects, including roads, airports, dams, irrigation, and electricity connectivity. Assured them of our full support for the Salaries Remuneration Commission recommendations to reclassify their job groups from D4 to E2. This reclassification recognises the weight of their responsibilities and the pivotal role they play in strengthening devolution. Additionally, I reaffirmed our commitment to supporting the County Assemblies Pension Scheme Bill and the Ward Development Fund, both currently before the National Assembly.(William Samoei Ruto, PhD)
