[OpenAI and Paradigm Collaborate to Launch AI Agent Tool EVMbench to Enhance Smart Contract Security] According to Deep Tide TechFlow on February 19, The Block reported that OpenAI and Paradigm have collaborated to launch the EVMbench benchmarking tool. This tool is designed to evaluate the ability of AI agents to detect, patch, and exploit high-severity vulnerabilities in smart contracts, supporting end-to-end fund theft attacks in a sandbox blockchain environment. The tool is based on 120 curated vulnerabilities (from 40 audits, including the security audit of the Layer 1 blockchain Tempo jointly developed by Paradigm and Stripe) and aims to encourage defensive applications to improve contract auditing and security. OpenAI stated in a blog post: "Smart contracts safeguard billions of dollars in assets, and AI agents will bring transformative changes to both attackers and defenders." This initiative addresses recent vulnerability incidents, such as Moonwell's AI-assisted exploit and CrossCurve's $3 million cross-chain loss. Anthropic reported that AI could reduce the cost of crypto attacks.
