The Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica (PSOJ) is the leading business advocacy group in the country, representing major companies and private sector interests. I met with Patrick Hylton, President of PSOJ, to discuss how Jamaica can stay strong and improve the performance of state-owned entities and the economy overall. Key areas included reducing Jamaica’s debt, keeping the economy stable, and continuing efforts to reduce crime. We also talked about being bold, aiming higher, and pushing for better results for the country, along with responsible tax and fiscal policies. The private sector plays a major role in Jamaica’s growth, and ongoing collaboration with PSOJ is essential for achieving our economic goals.(Andrew Holness)
