TRUMP ATTACKS CONSUMER PROTECTION BUREAU
The Trump administration claims the CFPB has cost Americans $237–$369B in higher borrowing, saying its rules on loans and credit cards raised costs and limited options. Acting director Russell Vought seeks to shut it down, calling it “unaffordable” for consumers.
