Starting March 1, 2026, eligible employees will receive $0.21 worth of Bitcoin for every hour worked, with a two-year vesting period for the bonus. Based on a 40-hour workweek, employees can accumulate approximately $436.80 worth of Bitcoin annually. This initiative is part of the brand's Bitcoin strategy. Steak 'n Shake began accepting Bitcoin payments last year and included its sales revenue in a "Strategic Bitcoin Reserve (SBR)." On January 16 of this year, the company further increased its Bitcoin holdings by $10 million.
