The Munich Security Conference (@MunSecConf) is the biggest security conference of the year. Three things were central here: undiminished support for Ukraine, the importance of transatlantic cooperation for our shared interests, and that we as Europe must take more responsibility for our security. European security is crucial for the Netherlands. It was good to be here amidst major geopolitical developments. I spoke with many international colleagues about security in Europe and the Middle East, including during a dinner with European government leaders and American senators on Transatlantic cooperation, the Berlin Group meeting on Ukraine, and in many one-on-one conversations with, among others, @bundeskanzler Merz 🇩🇪, Prime Minister @MBA_AlThani_ 🇶🇦, President @JakovMilatovic 🇲🇪, President @maiasandumd 🇲🇩 and @PresidentRashad 🇾🇪.(Dick Schoof)
