Efforts were further intensified to strengthen the deterrence and authority of online law enforcement, effectively maintaining a clean and upright cyberspace and safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of the people. Over the past year, the national cyberspace administration system has lawfully interviewed 5,811 website platforms, issued 1,646 warnings, imposed fines on 521 website platforms, ordered the suspension of functions or updates 688 times, removed 2,133 apps, taken down 192 mini-programs, collaborated with telecommunications authorities to cancel website and app registrations, and shut down 9,637 websites and apps. Website platforms were urged to fulfill their primary responsibilities and lawfully handle various illegal accounts.
