[Polish President Vetoes Controversial Cryptocurrency Bill Again] According to Cryptopolitan, Polish President Karol Nawrocki has once again vetoed the government's proposed 'Crypto Asset Market Bill.' The bill aimed to incorporate the EU's 'Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation' (MiCA) into Polish domestic law but faced criticism for imposing stricter regulations on local crypto businesses than EU standards. The points of contention include granting excessive supervisory powers to the Polish Financial Supervision Authority (KNF), such as the ability to suspend or prohibit the public issuance and trading of crypto assets, as well as imposing sanctions on non-compliant intermediaries. The bill also stipulates that failure to notify the KNF about token issuances or service offerings would result in criminal liability, with the most severe violations subject to fines of up to 10 million PLN (approximately $2.8 million). Previously, in December last year, the Polish president vetoed a bill that sought to impose strict regulations on the crypto asset market.
