BlockBeats News, February 13, Binance CEO He Yi posted that regarding recent reports about a French employee, the individual involved and their family are currently safe and actively cooperating with French law enforcement in the investigation. According to her disclosure, three suspects have been arrested by the police, and the case is still under further investigation.
She also expressed gratitude to the Brigade de Répression du Banditisme (BRB) for their swift and professional handling of the incident and reminded the community to stay vigilant, verify information through trusted channels, and be cautious of suspicious interactions.
Previously, according to French media RTL, Binance France's CEO experienced an attempted home invasion on February 12. Three masked assailants armed with weapons broke into an apartment building in Val-de-Marne, France, around 7 a.m., attempting to locate the residence of the company's French executive. The suspects first forcibly entered another resident's home to obtain information about the target apartment and then searched the executive's residence. As the homeowner was not present, the assailants stole two mobile phones before fleeing the scene.
Later that same morning, at 9:15 a.m., the three suspects attacked another resident in Villecresnes, mistakenly believing them to be another cryptocurrency entrepreneur. Police subsequently tracked the suspects through surveillance footage and mobile signals, apprehending them at Lyon Perrache train station. The three individuals are currently detained and under investigation.
