[Polygon: Plans to Reclaim $1 Million in Gas Fee Base Costs to Optimize Inter-Agent Transactions]
Odaily Planet Daily News - Polygon posted on the X platform, stating that the commercialization of intelligent agents (where AI agents autonomously complete commercial transactions and payments) requires the elimination of friction, with payments needing to be instantaneous and nearly zero-cost with predictability. The PIP-82 proposal suggests reclaiming up to $1 million in gas fee base costs through the Polygon x402 facilitator to accelerate transactions between agents and further reduce AI agent costs. Reportedly, Polygon holds a significant share in Agentic Commerce (agent-based transactions) and has processed several key AI agent transactions. For instance, OpenClaw completed the first fully autonomous AI-to-AI commercial transaction (automatic listing, pricing, negotiation, deal closure, and payment collection) on Polygon.
