#ThroneSpeech: The Government continues to drive effective coordination of national policy and public sector reform by strengthening accountability,results-based management, and institutional capability across Government, in support of Vision 2030 Jamaica. This has taken on heightened urgency in the aftermath of Hurricane Melissa.  The widespread devastation caused by the hurricane underscored both the vulnerability of critical infrastructure, and the need for a more integrated and disciplined national framework for recovery and resilience. In response, the Government has established the National Reconstruction and Resilience Authority (NaRRA), initially as a department, pending the enactment of special-purpose legislation to constitute it as a statutory corporation.(Andrew Holness)
