[Caixin: Hearing on 60,000 Bitcoin Money Laundering Case to Be Held on February 16, Involving Over 30 Billion RMB and Nearly 130,000 Chinese Victims] Odaily Planet Daily reports that 8,300 Chinese victims have applied for compensation in the asset disposal deadlock of the 60,000 Bitcoin money laundering case involving Qian Zhimin. Multiple law firms are representing the victims, each fighting independently, which has led to issues such as duplicate submissions, repeated arguments, and prolonged procedures in the view of the UK judge. Legal fees have also surged, ultimately to be borne by the Chinese victims. It is reported that on the eve of the Lunar Year of the Horse and the first day of the new year (February 16 and 17, 2026), the UK High Court will hold a hearing on the asset disposal procedure for the highly watched 60,000 Bitcoin money laundering case, involving over 30 billion RMB and nearly 130,000 Chinese victims. Additionally, due to significant fluctuations in Bitcoin prices, the market value of the 60,000 Bitcoins has dropped from approximately 54 billion RMB on October 6, 2025, to about 31 billion RMB in early February 2026.
