[Dong Lijuan from the National Bureau of Statistics: The Trend of Moderate Core CPI Growth Remains Unchanged] Jin10 News, February 11 – Dong Lijuan, Chief Statistician of the Urban Department at the National Bureau of Statistics, stated that residents' consumption demand continues to recover, and the trend of moderate core CPI growth remains unchanged. Firstly, the core CPI continued to rise month-on-month. Excluding food and energy prices, the core CPI rose by 0.3% month-on-month, the highest in nearly six months. Among these, air ticket prices and travel agency service fees rose by 5.7% and 2.0% month-on-month, respectively; prices for domestic services, hairdressing, and movie and performance tickets increased by 0.4%–2.8%; prices for data storage devices and computers rose by 8.0% and 2.6%, respectively; prices for household appliances, daily household goods, and personal care products increased by 0.7%–1.4%. Secondly, the year-on-year price increase for industrial consumer goods, excluding energy, continued to expand. The year-on-year price of industrial consumer goods, excluding energy, rose by 2.6%, an increase of 0.1 percentage points from the previous month. Among these, the price of gold jewelry rose by 77.4% year-on-year; prices for household appliances, daily household goods, and clothing increased by 2.1%–6.6%.
