When agents could only read and summarize, infra didn’t matter. Now they can spend, sign, and access real systems. We just jumped from “can it do the job?” to “should it be allowed to?” In sum, agents need constraints. That’s what Kite’s mainnet is aiming at. They’re building the agent-native infrastructure around 3 critical pieces: • Identity: agents aren’t anonymous API callers. They get verifiable identity (KitePass) and guardrails like budgets, allowlists, limits. • Payments that fit agents: agents need pay-per-task / pay-per-call, not invoices and subscriptions. Kite’s aligning with x402, so you can pay, retry and have clean proof of payment baked in. • Devs Friendly: zero-fee RPC (gradually opened), real docs, explorers, tooling, observability. Solving team integration without begging the core team for help every time something breaks. None of this matters without liquidity and on-ramps, so they’re planning basic DeFi entry points (bridging, DEX/liquidity, LSD-style staking rails) as part of the mainnet path Agents are going to move real value. The ones without identity, constraints, and paper trails won't last long. Glad to partner with @GoKiteAI and highlight this because this is the exact kind of “plumbing” the agent economy is going to need.(Edgy - The DeFi Edge 🗡️)
