After conducting an investigation, the police acted quickly and successfully arrested the police involved. According to sources, the incident occurred around 23:00 on the evening of February 5th at a residence in Country Heights, Kajang Town. That night, 8 Chinese tourists were resting inside the house when suddenly 12 men broke in. Some of them were wearing police reflective jackets and presented police identification to the crowd, claiming to be police officers. After entering the house, the group forcibly checked everyone's phones and laptops, copied relevant data, requested and photographed passport information, and accused them of engaging in fraudulent activities in Cambodia. However, after inspection, the police did not find any evidence of illegal activities, and passport records also showed that the Chinese tourists inside the house had never traveled to Cambodia. The police officers involved in the case are still threatening Chinese tourists, demanding a payment of RM400000 (approximately RMB 705000), otherwise they will report to the immigration bureau and be arrested. Under fear, coupled with concerns for the safety of their female companions, one of the victims sought help from a domestic employer and ultimately followed the suspect's instructions to transfer approximately RM200000 (approximately RMB 352000) to a designated cryptocurrency wallet through cryptocurrency.
