Buffett made $2 billion last night, earning more in one night than many funds do in a lifetime. Just checked Berkshire Hathaway's holdings. The main reason is the surge in the Japanese stock market. Buffett holds $4.1 billion in Mitsubishi shares, $3 billion in Itochu Corporation, $2.8 billion in Mitsui & Co., and $3.4 billion in Marubeni and Sumitomo Corporation. I noticed that all the stocks Buffett bought are energy stocks, and they were all purchased in 2019. Gotta say, his investment foresight is so good it's almost scary.
