[Coinbase Becomes the Only Crypto Company Advertising in the 2026 Super Bowl]
According to Foresight News, citing Decrypt, during the 60th Super Bowl (Super Bowl LX) held on Sunday, Coinbase became the only cryptocurrency company to run a major advertisement. Compared to the 'Crypto Bowl' in 2022, where multiple crypto companies participated collectively, the scale of industry marketing has significantly shrunk this year. Coinbase's ad this time was one minute long and featured karaoke-style lyrics to the Backstreet Boys' 1997 single 'Everybody (Backstreet’s Back).'
Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong stated that the ad aims to promote economic freedom and alleviate polarization through a sing-along format. Analysts pointed out that this advertising strategy reflects the crypto industry's cautious approach following market reshuffling, with marketing priorities shifting from early celebrity endorsements and high cashback offers to compliance and trust-building.
