I used to rely on anywhere to spin up a quick local server from any directory, but it hasn’t been updated in a long time. Recently I switched to Vercel’s serve, and it’s been a solid replacement. serve is a simple static file server with clean directory listing support. It works well for serving a static site, an SPA, or just browsing files locally or on your LAN, with a neat, readable UI.
