So many people still confusedly think that protocols are the same as corporations. They think burning network tokens with protocol fees means you can't then issue new tokens to reinvest in growth or productivity. Corporations can't print dollars, so they have use to income, debt, or fundraises to pay for everything. Network tokens aren't dollars. Protocols can issue (mint) them and use them for reinvestment. Income and spending can be decoupled — limited, obviously, by inflation. Too much issuance, and the token value can decline in an inflationary spiral. Too little, and the protocol may not be reinvesting in what's needed for compounding growth. Balance (not necessarily perfect equilibrium) is important.(Eddy Lazzarin 🟠🔭)
