Four days ago, @tether open-sourced its mining system, which is actually super important for retail miners.
In the past, Bitcoin mining software was a black box, and systems were closed off. Small miners could only passively connect, get charged fees, and face restrictions—the real control was never in the hands of everyone.
This time, Tether has fully open-sourced MiningOS and the Mining SDK. From hash rate monitoring, electricity usage, cooling, to miner management, you can run it yourself, monitor it yourself, and take control yourself. Whether you’re a retail miner with just a few machines or running a large mining farm, everyone uses the same system—no class differences. This isn’t about making retail miners rich overnight, but for the first time, someone is seriously giving mining sovereignty back to the community
Bitcoin decentralization shouldn’t stop at the consensus layer; the infrastructure is decentralized now too
