Follow-up on the incident: Bithumb accidentally sent out 620,000 Bitcoin to users. That’s equivalent to each user receiving 2,000 Bitcoin. However, the exchange only has a real reserve of 46,000 Bitcoin. Currently, they’ve recovered 99.7% of it, but 1,788 Bitcoin were immediately sold by users after being received. Out of that, 93% was reclaimed by the platform. In other words, 125 Bitcoin were cashed out and got away.
