This afternoon, I met with members of the Rent Assessment Board/ the Real Estate Board to discuss key measures aimed at strengthening Jamaica’s housing and property sectors. Our conversation focused on improving transparency, efficiency, and fairness in property valuation and rent assessments, which are critical for protecting both tenants and property owners. We also discussed strategies to support growth in the real estate sector, encourage investment, and ensure housing developments meet the needs of Jamaicans across the country.(Andrew Holness)
