Rate cuts coming, then rate hikes again, how’s employment looking? Are insider whales adding more long or short positions? It all sounds like there’s some kind of causal connection. But in reality, it has no direct link to your next bet, how much you bet, whether you win or lose. And it’s also not necessarily connected to whether you’re profitable in the long term. The only good thing is it gives you some psychological comfort—you can blame it on not understanding macro enough.
