Senate unanimously confirmed Vice Adm. Thomas Allan, Jr. to serve as U.S. Coast Guard Vice Commandant and promoted to Admiral, ahead of Feb. 13 deadline for the DHS funding bill which also includes funding for the Coast Guard.
