TD Securities: The US dollar is expected to rebound in the first quarter, while the strong trend of the pound is expected to pause
According to Golden Finance, TD Securities stated in the report that the recent strong trend of GBP/USD against the US dollar may come to an end, mainly driven by the rebound of the US dollar. Analysts pointed out that the previous rise of the pound against the US dollar was largely due to the comprehensive sell-off of the US dollar. From a seasonal perspective, the first quarter is usually a period of strong data performance in the United States, and we may see a certain degree of rebound in the US dollar against the pound. After the Bank of England voted narrowly on Thursday to keep interest rates unchanged, coupled with market concerns about the potential leadership challenge faced by British Prime Minister Stammer, the pound against the US dollar GBP/USD fell 0.7% to 1.3548.
