[Capital Economics: The European Central Bank will cut interest rates by 25 basis points in September and December this year] Jin10 News, February 5 – Andrew Kenningham, Chief European Economist at Capital Economics, stated that looking ahead, the next move by the European Central Bank is likely to be a rate cut, as we suspect that economic growth in the eurozone will be disappointing and core inflation will fall below 2% in the second half of the year and remain below that level. Preliminary estimates suggest that the European Central Bank will implement two 25 basis point rate cuts this year, in September and December respectively, bringing the deposit rate down to 1.5%.
