**[IOTA Partners with Teesside University to Accelerate UK Trade Development Using TWIN Technology]**
Deep Tide TechFlow News, February 5th: According to official sources, blockchain protocol project IOTA has announced a partnership with Teesside University in the UK. The collaboration will apply IOTA TWIN technology to a digital trade testing platform and deploy it at Teesside's port and airport, aiming to create faster, smarter, and more transparent infrastructure to accelerate UK trade development and unlock billions of pounds in economic value.
The digital trade testing platform is one of the UK's first real-world environments for testing and deploying digital trade solutions, supported by £3.5 million in funding from the UK government to aid early infrastructure development in economic zones surrounding ports. As a neutral and interoperable infrastructure, TWIN aims to build blockchain-based infrastructure connecting the global economy, coordinating data, assets, and identity information. By providing open-source APIs that integrate with existing trade infrastructure, it enables freight forwarders, customs, and supply chain participants to share verified information in real time.
Meanwhile, four trade-related staff members from the UK government have been seconded to work with IOTA, jointly exploring how digital tools based on IOTA technology can make trade smoother and more efficient. This effort aligns with IOTA's vision of establishing itself as the native digital infrastructure for trade, building the foundation for a blockchain-powered digital economy era.
