Experts question 'Vitalik proposes new creator token scheme': DAO governance issues may render the scheme ineffective According to a report by Golden Finance, Vitalik Buterin, co-founder of Ethereum, recently proposed a creator token reform plan, stating that the current issue is not about incentivizing content creation, but about filtering high-quality content. He suggested that curatorial DAOs should determine which creators are important, and tokens should primarily serve as predictive tools, allowing people to bet on which creators DAOs will choose. Ultimately, it is not speculators who decide who rises or falls, but high-value content creators. However, experts have different opinions on this. Umia's ecological leader Oxytocin pointed out that the program has introduced a certain degree of welfare creation by predicting the market, but still lacks appropriate off chain execution mechanisms to ensure long-term consistency among creators. Marcin Kazmierczak, co-founder of RedStone, believes that the prediction market not only creates speculation, but also creates informed discovery, motivating people to discover quality rather than chasing attention indicators. Superset CEO Neil Staunton is skeptical, questioning whether DAOs can become arbitrators of creative quality and whether creative works should be tokenized.
