[Hyperliquid Confirms the Introduction of 'Outcome Contracts' to Build Prediction Markets and Option-Like Derivatives] Odaily Planet Daily reports that Hyperliquid announced on X that it will introduce 'Outcome Contracts' trading in HIP-4. Outcome Contracts are fully collateralized contracts that can be settled within a predefined range. They serve as a versatile foundational primitive, applicable to use cases such as prediction markets and range-bound option-like tools. These two types of applications already have significant user demand, and developers are likely to conceive more innovative use cases based on this primitive. Outcome Contracts introduce a nonlinear payoff structure, expiring contracts, and an alternative form of derivatives trading that does not involve leverage or liquidation mechanisms. This primitive expands the expressive capabilities of HyperCore and can be combined with other primitives, such as the composable margin mechanism and HyperEVM. Outcome Contracts are currently under development and are being tested on the testnet at this stage. Once technical development is complete, standardized (Canonical) markets based on objective settlement sources will be deployed, and these standardized markets will be denominated in USDH. After collecting user feedback, the related infrastructure will be further expanded to a permissionless deployment model.
