"Financial operating system" is the sexiest framing for Ethereum. Digital oil? Oil isn't shiny, nor the price going up. Governments work hard to suppress its cost, as high prices are bad for world's economy. Financial operating system makes you think of Microsoft's Windows, but for global finance. And just like Windows, you run apps on it. But those apps are financial, which means they require much higher security standards than anything Microsoft deals with. Windows makes money because every app runs on it. Ethereum is same for Aave, Uniswap, Maker, every major stablecoin, every L2. They all settle on Ethereum and they all pay rent.
