[Arcium Launches Its Mainnet Alpha on Solana, Umbra Simultaneously Introduces Shielded Financial Layer]
According to The Block, the encrypted computing network Arcium has launched its mainnet Alpha version on Solana, marking the transition of its encrypted computing network from a testing environment to early production-use infrastructure. The project aims to power encrypted capital markets on public blockchains, with its execution engine enabling developers to build verifiable and composable applications while keeping data fully encrypted.
The first application to go live on this network, Umbra, has simultaneously launched its 'private mainnet,' creating a shielded financial layer on Solana through a phased rollout. Initially, it offers shielded transfers and encrypted exchange functions. Access will be limited in the early stages, with 100 users allowed per week and a $500 deposit cap. Access is expected to expand, and the cap will be raised in February.
