In the past few days, seeing the market fall like this, many people probably think that the cryptocurrency industry is completely hopeless, and even think that smart people have gone to work on AI. These two sides are completely different worlds. But I have been thinking these days that Web3 and AI are not completely separate, and it is very likely that they will merge. The Moltbook project has been quite interesting recently, and its most intuitive impact is that it shows us that AI is not just a question answering tool. In that environment, AI is like an autonomous social entity, they will form their own factions, create their own hotspots, and even engage in internal conflicts. This raises a very practical question: how can AI acquire assets when it becomes an independent decision-making and resource demanding agent? How to pay the bill? How to take responsibility for what you do? I hope the current banking system will definitely fail. Banks only recognize live people or companies with business licenses, and AI cannot open accounts or go through KYC. At this point, the value of cryptocurrencies and smart contracts comes out. For AI, blockchain accounts are simply born for them. The code does not require an ID card, as long as it holds the private key, it has ownership and disposal rights of the asset. Combined with smart contracts, this is equivalent to signing an automatically executed labor contract for AI: money is locked in the contract, and once the work is completed, the money is automatically allocated to AI to pay for computing power or buy data. So I think the next major direction for the cryptocurrency industry is to shift from pure speculative harvesting to a native financial infrastructure for the AI world. AI works hard, while cryptocurrency is responsible for settlement. Raising AI agents in the future will be like raising a child. As a parent, if you only let it learn and work, but don't give it a chain wallet, what's the difference between sending your child to school but not giving pocket money to buy snacks? Parents who do not provide wallets for AI in the future may not be considered qualified parents.
