All TPS (Temporary Protected Status) for Haitians expires next Tuesday, February 3rd. An estimated 500,000 people from Haiti lose their authorization to live and work in the USA. They are eligible to be deported. There are reports that ICE and the Border Patrol are planning a massive operation in areas of the country known to have Haitian citizens, such as South Florida, Ohio and New York. Many companies that hired those Haitians, with TPS, have recently fired them from their jobs after receiving notice that their work authorization expires February 3rd.(Wall Street Mav)
