Why did a lobster survive in the cryptocurrency market
Two months ago, on a late night, the cryptocurrency industry was still the same.
Twitter is scrolling through messages,
The TG group is arguing about airdrops,
A bunch of project teams in Discord are pretending to be dead.
Nothing really happened that day.
But it was on this unnoticed weekend that @ steipete quietly emerged as a 'casual writing tool'.
Its earliest function was very primitive:
Forward WhatsApp messages to another location.
No tokens, no financing, no whitepaper,
Even the names seem to be improvised.
But strangely enough, almost all of the people who first used it were from the cryptocurrency industry.
Why are the first batch of users in the cryptocurrency industry?
The reason is actually quite simple.
People in the cryptocurrency industry have different requirements for tools than ordinary people:
Do not believe in the cloud
We won't record your data
Especially when you start:
After focusing on projects, conducting research and investment, brushing the blockchain, conducting liver airdrops, and managing communities,
You will discover a cruel reality
Your most important information is almost all in chat apps.
And the AI tools on the market only do one thing:
Take away this information.
So, this lobster was "raised"
This project later got a name, Clawd.
It's because it happened to hit two points:
Claw: Claw, capable of grasping information
Claude: The most commonly used model at that time
Simple, easy to remember, without ambition.
But what really makes it stand in the cryptocurrency circle is not the name, but the usage.
The True OpenClaw Usage in the Coin Circle
Someone started using it to do these things:
one ️⃣ On chain intelligence monitoring
Focus on Twitter/TG/Discord for specific projects
As soon as the new announcement comes out, go through it yourself first
Risk points and key changes are not "AI analysis", they help you avoid stepping into one pit.
two ️⃣ Airdrop&Interaction
Do you have multiple wallets, multiple projects, and complicated steps?
Then let it remember:
Which wallet has been interacted with before
Which project has not been completed yet
As soon as the snapshot sound comes out, remind directly
I'm not teaching you how to liver,
To prevent you from having a white liver.
three ️⃣ trader
I'm not helping you place an order,
But to help you keep an eye on anomalies:
Sudden change in funds
The mood in the group suddenly changed
People who should not have appeared on the chain
You can judge, it is only responsible for the first time reminder.
four ️⃣ Project team and community
What are you most afraid of before issuing coins?
Internal information leakage
Community emotional instability
Fully sampled by third-party tools
Run OpenClaw on your own server:
Emotions, problems, and risk points
Only visible internally and not fed to any platform models
This is too important for cryptocurrency projects.
The name is changing, but the logic of the cryptocurrency circle has not changed
Later, due to trademark issues, Clawd changed its name,
Because it didn't go smoothly, I changed it again.
Finally, a name was chosen: OpenClaw.
Open: Open source, verifiable, controllable
Claw: Seize information, seize opportunities, and also seize risks
It's not for everyone to use,
It's more like it's prepared for that kind of person:
I no longer believe in 'universal tools',
Believe only in the system you control.
Why does the cryptocurrency industry need things like OpenClaw?
Because the cryptocurrency industry has never been about 'whoever has a strong model wins'.
But rather:
Who provided the information earlier
Who judges more clearly
Whose data is not seen in advance by others
If you treat SaaS AI as a 'rented brain',
OpenClaw is more like:
You raised a lobster yourself.
Only silently grab the information when you need it.
In the cryptocurrency circle,
There are only two tools that can survive:
One is to make you earn money,
Another way is to minimize your mistakes.
OpenClaw, More like the latter.
And everyone in the cryptocurrency industry knows
Making one less mistake may result in an extra round of life for the bull and bear.
