[Hong Kong Police Arrest Two Suspects in 58 Million Yen Currency Exchange Robbery]
Odaily Planet Daily reports that a robbery occurred yesterday near a currency exchange shop on Des Voeux Road Central in Sheung Wan, Hong Kong, where 58 million yen was stolen. Hong Kong police disclosed that the case has been solved. The two suspects, aged 27 and 51, are Japanese nationals and employees of a Japanese currency exchange shop. Both were arrested at Hong Kong International Airport. The two were attempting to exchange 190 million yen (approximately HK$5.88 million), during which one of them snatched the other's backpack containing 58 million yen. Hong Kong police quickly identified the suspects using surveillance footage and successfully arrested the two Japanese nationals involved in the robbery and getaway. (Hong Kong 01)
