[U.S. Federal Government Shuts Down Multiple Departments Again Due to Budget Impasse]
According to CCTV News, in the early hours of January 31 local time, the operational funds for multiple departments of the U.S. federal government were exhausted. As a new budget has yet to be passed, several departments of the U.S. government have once again fallen into a 'shutdown.' This comes less than three months after the end of the longest government 'shutdown' in U.S. history, which lasted 43 days last year. Even if the new budget currently being voted on in Congress is successfully passed, certain departments will only receive two weeks of funding. In other words, in half a month, the U.S. government may face its third short-term 'shutdown' in a row.
