Kevin Warsh, who was nominated by Trump to be the next Federal Reserve Chair, mentioned in an interview back in 2025 that Bitcoin is a highly disruptive new technology. He described it as an important asset and even referred to it as a 'health check report' for policymakers. 'Whether we’re doing things right or wrong, you can tell by its price. In that sense, it’s more like the inspector of monetary policy.'
Warsh’s statement actually carries a lot of weight. He’s not talking about price; he’s talking about the feedback mechanism.
The existence of Bitcoin has, for the first time, provided monetary policy with an uncontrollable, unmanipulatable market signal.
If you’re doing it right, it’s stable;
If you’re doing it wrong, it crashes.
From this perspective, BTC’s role has indeed gone beyond just being a 'speculative asset.'
