I held a special coordination call on the situation in Ukraine’s regions and on recovery efforts. There were no strikes on energy facilities last night, but yesterday afternoon our energy infrastructure in several regions was hit. We are now observing a shift by the Russian army toward strikes on logistics. Drone attacks on ordinary residential areas in cities are also continuing. Furthermore, a ballistic missile was used against the Kharkiv region – warehouses belonging to a civilian production facility were damaged, and this is an American company. In Zaporizhzhia, “shaheds” struck one of the city’s districts. FPV-drone attacks on Kherson, on cities in the Dnipro region, and especially on Nikopol are continuing almost around the clock. The situation remains difficult in the border areas of the Chernihiv, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions. There was a report on the Donetsk region. We also reviewed the situation in the Cherkasy region separately – much more needs to be done to guarantee people’s basic needs, especially for buildings with electric heating. Additional forces are being deployed for Kyiv – as of this morning, 378 high-rise residential buildings were without heating. Reports were also delivered on the situation in the Kyiv, Poltava, Kirovohrad, Odesa, Mykolaiv, Vinnytsia, Chernivtsi, Khmelnytskyi, and Zhytomyr regions. Separate tasks have been assigned to the Minister of Defense of Ukraine and the Commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine regarding the development of drone defense along the line between Kherson and Zaporizhzhia. Relevant decisions were made by the Staff last year, but to date they have been implemented only partially. I gave instructions to conduct an appropriate review and present response measures.
