Will the prediction market ultimately emerge as a king on this track? If so, is Opinion okay?
Let me first say a fair word:
Predicting the market is always a good narrative. Dopamine+event driven+game attributes, naturally suitable for explosive growth.
But from the perspective of grooming/investment, the real problem is only one:
Who will be the long-term buyer in the predicted market?
Events like the US election and the World Cup can bring peaks, but after the events are over:
Who makes the market? Who provides the opponent's disk? What does the project rely on to continuously make money and support the coin price?
This is also the reason why most market forecasting projects do not go far.
Why would I take out @ opionlabsxyz alone and say it?
Not because it is also a prediction, but because it attempts to solve the most difficult part of the prediction market in terms of mechanism:
Introducing an incentive based market making mechanism to reduce liquidity fluctuations in pure gambling events
Weaken reliance on one-time events and encourage more frequent and sustainable forecasting markets
The project team can continuously extract profits from the transaction structure, rather than just eating the peak. At least in terms of design, Opinion is not waiting for the next election or World Cup to renew its life.
But I still won't say that Opinion will definitely win now. The predicted market is now dominated by nine sons vying for the throne:
-Mechanism is more important than narrative
-Hematogenesis is more important than financing
-Living long is more important than having a loud voice
However, doing well does not necessarily mean losing hair. Which player in the prediction market would you bet on?
