Kisii County will not be transformed by rhetoric but by development projects and programmes. We are working with progressive leaders in the region, led by Governor Simba Arati, to change the county and improve people’s lives. We have invested Sh33 Billion in the construction of affordable houses, modern markets and hostels, Sh7 Billion in the upgrading of roads and more than Sh400 Million in the modernisation of the Suneka Airport. We will also upgrade and expand the Gusii Stadium to international standards to nurture sports in the area. Broke ground for the construction of the Sh350 Million Nyambera Modern Market that will be ready later in the year, hosting more than 1,000 traders in Kisii.(William Samoei Ruto, PhD)
