I was originally pretty pessimistic about the market ahead, but after seeing the price movements of gold and silver, I’ve started feeling optimistic about Bitcoin’s future over the past few days. I’ve bought back all the Bitcoin I sold at the end of last year. Gold can still be considered to have consensus, but silver, in my opinion, is purely speculative hype. Its value isn’t higher than Bitcoin’s. I used to wonder, since Bitcoin has already made it to the White House, what narrative is left to drive its price up? Who are the marginal buyers? But it seems that in the irreversible context of fiat currency devaluation, if silver can gain an entire Bitcoin market cap in three months, then BTC doesn’t actually need a clear narrative to surge. All it takes is people’s fear of fiat devaluation. Why don’t I look for opportunities elsewhere, even during a crypto bear market and a precious metals bull market? Because this space is all I know. I believe many people are like me—willing to stay here and wait for the bull market to return.
