[Ethereum Researchers Propose FOCIL as the Core Anti-Censorship Mechanism for the Hegota Upgrade]
According to The Block, Ethereum researcher Thomas Thiery (also known as 'soispoke') is considering a new mechanism aimed at enhancing the network's anti-censorship capabilities as the core proposal for its next major protocol upgrade (code-named Hegota).
Thomas Thiery has proposed Fork-Choice Forced Inclusion List (FOCIL) (or EIP-7805) as the core feature of Ethereum's upcoming Hegota upgrade, which is expected to launch later this year following Glamsterdam. FOCIL will allow multiple validators to enforce transaction inclusion, thereby reducing Ethereum's reliance on centralized block builders.
