[Daiwa Securities: Japan's Fiscal Expansion and Yen Weakness May Prompt Another Rate Hike by the Central Bank] Odaily Planet Daily News - Economists at Daiwa Securities stated that the Bank of Japan might raise policy rates again between April and June, which could differ from previous expectations. In a research report, the economists noted: 'Fiscal expansion and yen weakness have heightened market concerns about rising prices, prompting calls for an earlier rate hike.' They added that since Bank of Japan Governor Kazuo Ueda has indicated he will closely monitor Japanese companies' price adjustments in April, the central bank's branch managers' meeting that month and Tokyo's April CPI data could be key factors in determining the timing of the next rate hike.
