Social NFT marketplace Rodeo has become the second NFT platform to announce its closure this week. Rodeo CEO Kayvon Tehranian stated that although the product resonated with its core community, it failed to reach the scale needed for long-term sustainability, leading to the decision to cease operations. The platform will switch to read-only mode on February 10 and fully shut down on March 10. Users can migrate assets and metadata via Arweave. Data shows the NFT market continues to slump, with Ethereum NFT trading volume in January 2026 at just $159 million, far below the $5 billion peak in early 2022.
